Halfway down the mountainside is the Tulipanes pool with its intimate sun deck overlooking the expanse of the Pacific Ocean. This is the perfect place to lose yourself as you watch native birds riding the warm columns of rising air produced over the cliffs of Quebrada. You'll see solitary eagles and hawks taking advantage of the thermals to extend flight time as they search for food and expend very little energy in the process- just like you're doing! You'll also spot social birds in flocks using the thermals to gain altitude and extend their range during feeding forays or migration.
